Some
things in life are fairly certain: we all start out as kids,
grow taller, maybe wiser, turn gray and then take our final bows.
This familiar developmental skeleton is fleshed out by a small,
powerful class of astrological “passages” that happen
to everyone at about the same ages. We are talking about Saturn
returns, lunar returns, the Uranian opposition, and several others.
Understanding them makes our comprehension of each one of life’s
chapters much more precise. At the simple level, we would not
give career advice to a four year old, nor dating tips to a centenarian.
But knowledge of the “biopsychic script” takes us
far deeper than such obvious statements, adding clarity and detail.
As always in evolutionary astrology, these kinds of insights
go far beyond mere description. There are also certain perceptions,
certain changes of orientation, and certain understandings that
must arise intentionally at each stage of life. If they do not,
then people get lost. They continue behaving in outmoded ways
that no longer feed their souls. They are like high schoolers
in the bodies of fifty year olds. Our task as astrological counselors
is to help people avoid those traps.
In this meeting of the Apprenticeship Program we will explore
the biopsychic script in detail, but we will go further. Each
person’s Saturn Returns, for example, are unique. That
is not only because of the specific context of the birthchart,
but also because of the rest of the “astrological weather”
unfolding at the same time. If, say, Neptune is transiting over
a person’s Moon during the first Saturn Return, then that
Neptunian quality “locks in” as they move into life’s
middle cycle. To understand that particular Saturn Return, we
must integrate our Saturn understanding with the Neptune-Moon
event.
The purpose of this class will be to master the biopsychic script
in the practical, real world context of living astrology. To
that end, only Day One will be devoted to theory, while Days
Two, Three and Four will be strictly about practical application.
We will be drawing names from the “Sorting Hat,”
working in the living, integrated context of transits, progressions,
and solar arcs.
By the way, not everyone in the class
will currently be going through a major biopsychic script event.
No worry! One such event will have recently passed, or be looming
on the horizon. If your name comes up, that is what we will
explore.

It
is Steven's desire to teach others how to become more successful
professional astrologers. He states that it is time for him to
"pass the torch." His programs have a warm and intimate
tone, utilizing a combination of theory, instruction and practice
sessions with plenty of one-on-one interaction. He goes deeply
into the astrological fundamentals rather than superficially into
a plethora of astrological details.
The class work is primarily from real-world situations using class
members' charts. Always, the aim lies in encouraging students
to find their own voices, to become better astrologers, and to
